See How Much Free Space Is On Your Hard Drive

To see how much free space is on your Mac hard drive, click on Finder in the dock. A window pops up; at the left side of the window, under Devices, find the name of your computer hard drive and click on it once to select it. Then from the File menu choose Get Info. A window pops up with information about your drive. Capacity tells you the size of your hard drive; Available tells you how much space you have left; Used tells you how much space is being used.
